Cancellation policy
At least two hours’ notice is required to cancel or reschedule. The current policy lists a $30 fee for late cancellation. Repeated non-attendance without adequate notice may affect future bookings, with emergencies and unexpected circumstances considered individually.
Non-Medicare patients
Patients without a valid Medicare card pay a private consultation fee at the time of the appointment. Patients with a pending Medicare application are also required to pay and may claim the rebate after their card is approved.
TAC and WorkCover
The current fee policy states that WorkCover and TAC patients are billed privately and pay the practice directly under the relevant billing arrangement.
Pathology
4Cyte Pathology is located within the centre and bulk bills current Medicare card holders. Patients need a referral slip before testing. Private-health patients should confirm pathology costs directly with 4Cyte.
Outstanding accounts and appointments
Outstanding balances should be settled before future appointments are booked. Essential medical care will not be withheld from a patient in need; patients experiencing difficulty should speak with the team, and the treating doctor may approve an appointment in appropriate circumstances.
Private health, allied health and cosmetic services
Patients with private health insurance but no Medicare card pay on the day and receive a receipt to claim from their insurer. On-site allied health and cosmetic services have separate fees; contact reception for current costs.
Medical reports
Reports for private institutions, legal or insurance matters, pre-employment purposes or commercial driver licensing attract a fee that will be discussed before the service is provided.
Medicare Online and Safety Net
Medicare Online can return eligible rebates directly to a nominated bank account. The Medicare Safety Net may reduce out-of-pocket costs when frequent health services are needed within a calendar year.
Financial hardship
The practice encourages patients experiencing financial hardship to discuss payment options with their treating doctor.
